Country Music Month

10/27/2009

Since 2007, October has been considered Country Music Month in the United States. In an effort to promote country music, Congress made this a national observance because of the genre’s continued support of our nation’s armed forces and huge impact on American patriotism. During this month, radio stations and television channels promote country music with special shows, interviews, new releases, and live performances. If you are a country music fan, be on the look out for special events in honor of Country Music Month during October.
